International Scientific and Practical Conference
February 26, 2025, Moscow
The historical futility of the unipolar model of globalization focused on serving the political and economic interests of a select few countries is becoming more and more evident as BRICS's global role strengthens and its internal integration processes develop. And although the world is still developing according to the old rules, it is already obvious that qualitatively new formats and opportunities for multilateral and multifaceted cooperation are opening up for countries within the framework of the new intergovernmental organization. These formats are based on respect for national sovereignty and ensure socio-economic stability and sustainable development. In fact, BRICS presents a new paradigm for democratization of international relations. However, unlocking the organization’s potential is exacerbated by historical and cultural features of national-economic systems development and active opposition to BRICS activities by supporters of a unipolar world. Overcoming these difficulties requires considerable intellectual and practical efforts to develop fundamentally new organizational, technological and institutional rules, structures and mechanisms that ensure effective harmonization of national economic, legal, financial, technological and infrastructural systems.
Fundamentally new tasks associated with BRICS development arise within the framework of international management theory and practice. The effectiveness of traditional methods and models of organizing and managing international commercial and non-commercial operations is noticeably reduced, encountering serious differences in the socio-economic context of the national business spaces of the BRICS countries. This is due to significant differences in their tariff and quota systems and non-tariff restrictions on international trade. And differences in standards, industrial, agricultural, sanitary and other regulations create additional obstacles to the crossing of national borders by goods, services, capital and labor resources of participants, complicating the choice of mutually acceptable forms and strategies for business internationalization.
In particular, significant differences in national educational systems not only do not stimulate student and teacher mobility but also present a serious obstacle to the exchange of highly qualified specialists. Such issues as the integration of national financial systems into a single financial and settlement BRICS mechanism, the creation of a common currency market, the introduction of a single universal currency, the creation of a common mechanism for jointly used investment funds, and many others remain unresolved at either the expert or political level.
In this regard, the focus of the upcoming conference is the knowledge and experience exchange. This will contribute to a deeper common understanding of the problems that require urgent solutions for the effective management of international business which is based on new principles that satisfy all BRICS participants. The proposed topics of the conference sections are determined based on the priority areas of international management development.
The best articles will be recommended for publication in the following journals:

The need for a new paradigm of international management is due to the fact that today international business faces problems that are determined not only and not so much by the scale and content of global changes, but by the speed, nature and degree of their influence on both the object and the subject of international relations. The basis of the modern context of international relations is increasingly formed by the processes of sustainable cooperation and partnership in the name of social progress, and not the practice of political pressure and global financial control.

The development of free trade, the gradual elimination of barriers in economic relations on the path of movement of goods and services, capital, labor, the harmonization of foreign economic policy and the desire to coordinate macroeconomic policy and unify individual aspects of legislation - all this will create new favorable conditions for the development of international business and the economies of the BRICS countries.

The accelerated growth of the BRICS economies, faced with unfair, asymmetric restrictions and Western-centric control of financial flows within the existing global monetary and financial system, is prompting them to seek solutions to strengthen their financial sovereignty through the creation of alternative international financial institutions, the development of their own regional payment systems and the diversification of reserve currencies.

The geographical remoteness of the BRICS countries naturally brings to the forefront the task of connecting the economies of the association, which is solved in a comprehensive manner based on the coordinated development of all types of transport, transport routes and hubs - sea, road and air. The development of transport infrastructure pulls up the development of energy, and then social. Here, environmental, migration and demographic problems are added to engineering, financial and economic problems.

Digital transformation of management systems at any level of international cooperation opens up new opportunities for increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of the parties on a global scale. The higher the level and the larger the scale of this transformation, the more significant its potential results. An integrated ecosystem of international business is ideally capable of reducing to a minimum all total transaction costs associated with overcoming market resistance by business, and, therefore, bringing the nature of market regulation as close as possible to the most free.

Integration of countries in the production, economic, financial, technological and information spheres poses new problems of their integration in the scientific and educational sphere. The experience of cooperation between universities in the association shows that traditional student and academic mobility does not lead to qualitatively new, breakthrough solutions in this area. In the context of a wide cultural and linguistic diversity of science and education systems, as well as due to the asymmetry of financial and economic opportunities for ensuring student and academic mobility in different countries, combined education through synchronization and mutual accreditation of educational programs has an educational rather than a system-forming effect. To obtain the latter, it is necessary to form a common educational space and coordinated approaches to the development of scientific and educational structures, programs and plans.

BRICS serves as a powerful accelerator of change in the principles and approaches to the organization and development of the international business management system. Dynamic economic landscapes, cultural diversity and a wide range of technological achievements in the BRICS countries, on the one hand, are a challenge to find a balance between the economic and political interests of the participants, and on the other hand, open up new horizons and opportunities for them to ensure sustainable trajectories of socio-economic development. Taking into account national characteristics, observing national business conditions and assumed international obligations, respecting each other's economic interests, BRICS participants are able to cope with any difficulties and problems of modern international management.
